23 whaddup.

oh snap!

i'm 23 today.

1 year older, and wiser, too?

sure.

22 was a good year. productive.

i did a lot. i learned a lot. i laughed a lot. (i snorted a little).

i cried a lot. i sang a lot. i ate a lot. i was silly, A LOT.

i have a friend, a wonderful friend, who turned 61 this year. and every year she makes it a point to do as many things she's never done before as how old she turned that year.

say hello to my 22 Things I Did In The Last Year That I Had Never Done Before list:

1. got a dog!

2. taught ruby how to sit, stay, shake, lay down, and "leave it."

3. went to maryland.

4. went to seattle.

5. went to chicago.

6. crashed a truck.

7. bought a car.

8. kissed a south african.

9. paid a speeding ticket.

10. double dutched IN THE RAIN.

11. bought cowboy boots.

12. went rock climbing (OUTSIDE).

13. threw my little sister a bridal shower and baked a lingerie cake.

14. double dutched at a wedding reception (LIZ AND JOE).

15. learned how to say an Easter greeting in Romanian.

16. learned what PWNED, FTW and BAMF mean (thanks auston beaty).

17. went longboarding (for 5 seconds and totally fell and ate it. counts).

18. went to a temple sealing (and several since then).

19. ate at the sugar factory in the vegas (hello life changing milkshake, nice to meet you).

20. received missionary emails from fijiiiii.

21. witnessed my little brother DRIVING (scary).

22. finished a tube of burts bees chapstick.

ps- i secretly really love being called "birthday girl." it's endearing... like when a boy calls you a "doll" or when your dad calls you "sweetheart" or when the cashier lady at the grocery store calls you "sister."
