i taught eleven people how to double dutch last night.
ELEVEN.
i was a proud little mama bear. i was beaming. and talking really fast. sometimes jumbled-together words, sometimes a little drool.
i was too excited to even take pictures.
i was also hostessing. and passing out otterpops. i was a busypants.
i am not-so-secretly getting everybody ready for my birthday next month for round 2 of Jenny's birthday double-dutch.
special moments from birthday dutch extravaganza 2009:
will miss this girl terribly.
but she will be home from her mission before we know it.
and then we will double dutch some more.
'cept she and Joe won't be trying high stakes together. cuz Liz and Joe got married in 2010 and did high stakes at their reception.

you better believe that for reals happened.
did i mention ELEVEN PEOPLE learned how to double dutch last night?? there are ELEVEN new dutchers in the world, folks. and they all nailed it.
pictures next time. pinky promise.
PS- special props to Jill and Jon for successfully completing the high stakes challenge last night. AND to Paul for leap-frogging over Sam's back into the ropes and still jumping. GOLDEN. these people were born to double dutch, guys. born. to. dutch.
